I stopped by a smaller, one-day job last week to grab a photo of our newest employee, Mike, and caught something else while there... Rick giving the work his once-over. The Rick Test.
Passing the Rick Test can be tricky because he is the most anal, detail-oriented guy you'll ever meet. Which is great for our clients because he wants the work we do to be perfect. And although he does check every job at some point I've never caught him in action!
And although he cares about all of our jobs, big or small, this one was close to his heart because the client lives in his Grandma's old house that his Great Grandfather built! In fact, his dad built the corbels that needed fixing!
Just one more added bonus to working so often in Webster Groves!
This little backdoor portico fell down a few months ago because the corbel on the left was rotting... so rather than replace the entire thing (since most of it was fine), we took the good corbel back to the shop, made a template and created a new one! To match the old one!
Rick used cardboard to trace it to create the template.
Mike and Angelo putting it all back together!
And the final product!
The homeowner will paint it, he just needed us to catch the new to the old and after a successful Rick Test we all left the job happy and finished!
