At Kuhn Construction we get a lot of different jobs that come thru our doors. Some are more interesting than others. One such job that recently came in was a call from a gentleman that owned a commercial property on
So after the bidding process, we were awarded the job!! So the feat began, how to get guys up on the roof, slate shingles, safety concerns, customers trying to park and enter the building, etc. We figured out a game plan and tore into the old structure. Had a crane come out, lift it off the building, and stage it on a flat roof on the rear of the building.
Part of the task at hand was to bring it up to current building regulations. The other big emphasis was to build the new cupola with as much composite materials as possible. So the new cupola was built out of treated lumber, redwood lumber, copper flashings, the existing copper roof which was painted many years ago, and a PVC trim material. It was a feat just figuring out all the different primers suggested for all the different materials. But after re-construction, it was time to re-install the top of the cupola. With the assistance of our crane contractor, it went right into place, fit properly, and closed up nicely.
What a cool job to get to watch progress and how nice to see the final product. Thank you to all for your continued reading.
Phil

That was a tough job. It evidently took a lot of manpower and machinery to reconstruct the roof. You even needed to use a crane for lifting! Kudos to all of you for finishing the project.

You must be producing exemplary output, and that's why you're getting more and more inquiries. That picture where your carpenters are fixing the roof is proof that your workers produce quality work. They seem to be very knowledgeable in what they're doing.
